An arrest warrant was issued for 33-year-old Andrew Barbazon for second-degree robbery for allegedly using an Airsoft BB rifle to steal a woman’s truck.
The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office says on Saturday, surveillance cameras at the Academy Sports and Outdoors in Covington captured Barbazon ripping an Airsoft BB rifle from its, packaging, and walking out of the store with the rifle.
The sheriff’s office says he then waited in the store parking lot for a while until he saw a woman loading her packages into the back of her truck.
They say he then used the rifle to steal the woman’s truck and drive away.
Deputies found the truck abandoned on Haynes Road in Tangipahoa Parish.
