A Mandeville family is mourning 26-year-old Brandon Power, an LSU graduate and industrial engineer who was killed when a bullet fired from a neighbor's apartment went through a wall and killed him, WWL-TV reports.
Power lived in the Dallas area, working for Raytheon. Authorities found his body after his smartwatch detected a hard fall and notified his parents, who were listed as emergency contacts.
Police arrested a 22-year-old man, Michael Parker Jr., and booked him on a manslaughter charge. Police did not say why Parker may have fired the fatal shot.
