A student at a Mandeville-area school is facing a menacing charge after sheriff's deputies say she wrote a hit list.
According to St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office spokesperson Sergeant Suzanne Carboni, deputies were alerted to the hit list by another student at the junior high school the suspect attends. Carboni says the suspect, a 13-year-old girl, admitted to writing the hit list because she had been bullied by the students on her list.
The student received a summons and was released to a parent on the condition that the child appear in court.
