A Mandeville woman is dead after a crash in Tangipahoa Parish. Louisiana State Police says the wreck took the lie of 22-year-old Anjel Wilcox.
Troopers say the Wilcox was driving a 2008 Honda CRV and around 10:30 Tuesday morning, failed to stop where CC Road crosses LA 22, and drove directly into the path of an oncoming Dodge Ram 2500, which T-boned the driver's side of the Honda.
"Despite Wilcox being properly restrained, she sustained severe injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to a local hospital," said Trooper William Huggins. "Last night, Wilcox ultimately succumbed to her injuries."
The drive of the pickup sustained moderate injuries, according to LSP, and was also taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Toxicology results from both drivers are pending.
