Louisiana State Police say impairment was a factor in a deadly crash on the Westbank.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. Friday on Barataria Boulevard near College Parkway just south of Marrero.
Troopers say Joleen Walls was speeding in her SUV when she ran off the road into a ditch, hitting a culvert and a utility pole in the process.
Walls died at the scene. Troopers say she was not wearing a seatbelt.
The crash remains under investigation.
