A man is dead and a woman is in the hospital after a double shooting in Metairie.
According to Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office spokesperson Sergeant Brandon Veal, the shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. Monday on Lausat Street near Arnoult Road.
Sgt. Veal says deputies found the male victim dead inside car. Deputies found the female victim outside the car, but Sgt. Veal says she was inside the car when she was wounded. The woman is in the hospital recovering from what Sgt. Veal called a "non-life-threatening" injury.
