New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in the 2700 block of LaSalle Street.
Police say shortly before noon Monday, officers were sent to investigate a call of a shooting in the Central City neighborhood near A.L. Davis Park.
Officers found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
New Orleans EMS arrived to provide treatment on the scene and take the victim to the hospital. Doctors pronounced him dead a short time later.

Callers to Crimestoppers do not have to leave their names and may be eligible for a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
