Mardi Gras 2021 in New Orleans may not be a guarantee but Mardi Gras in Mobile, Alabama is moving forward despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
Media outlets there report that Mobile’s Mayor Sandy Stimpson released a memo saying Mardi Gras in Mobile is not cancelled and the city will soon issue parade permits.
This comes as many New Orleans Mardi Gras krewe captains struggle to come up with a parade plan that will follow some restrictive COVID-19 safety measures mayor Latoya Cantrell’s Mardi Gras Advisory Committee has suggested to those krewes.
