“Our stormy pattern continues thanks to a slow moving low pressure and stalled front in the region. Expect more showers and t-storms to move through the area today. There will be breaks in the rain, but at times it will be heavy. We'll also watch for waterspouts with any storms moving near or over water. Most places see between 1-3 inches today with isolated higher amounts.”
Thursday looks similar with more showers and t-storms through the day and temperatures in the mid-80s.
“By Friday this stormy pattern begins to change and we transition back to more hit or miss showers and t-storms. While it won't be dry Friday and through the weekend, the coverage of rain will drop.”

Keeping an eye on the tropics: Watching a few things in the tropics. A wave coming off the continent of Africa could develop by the end of this week, but it's so far away we aren't currently worried about it.
“Another areas of disturbed weather is off the coast of South America. It will head toward the Caribbean this weekend. Through the weekend wind shear will decrease and it will have a chance to organize in the eastern Caribbean south of Puerto Rico. Beyond that it's hard to say what it will do, but we'll want to keep an eye on it. Regardless of if the disturbance develops, we have plenty of time to watch it. IF it tries to get into the Gulf that wouldn't happen until the middle of next week. We'll keep you posted.”
