The Mother-in-Law Lounge in Treme has been shut down by city officials, who cited violations of coronavirus mitigation measures, and said the establishment ignored "repeated calls and warnings," WWL-TV reports.
The report says the Kermit Ruffins-owned bar had been operating without a proper license, as well as violating COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.
Officials told the TV station that the violations caused "major problems" like large gatherings in the area.
