ORIGINAL STORY: Thunderstorms over Lake Pontchartrain have forced the Causeway Police Department to prohibit certain vehicles from getting on the bridge.
According to the Causeway Police Twitter page, motorcycles, RVs, and glass trucks are not allowed on the bridge until further notice. Officials cite thunderstorms, crosswinds, and poor visibility for the restrictions.
No word on when the restrictions will be lifted.
