After two months, cops say they have made an arrest in the death of a politician.
"On October 6, 2024, the Franklinton Police Department requested the Louisiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division assist with a homicide investigation after 67-year-old Frankie Crosby," Trooper Marc Gremillion said in news release.
The investigation began when the Washington Parish School Board member and Alderman candidate was found dead in his car.
"Initial findings indicated that Crosby’s death was the result of an overdose."
Gremillion sayd the Washington Parish Coroner later confirmed that the cause of death was combined drug toxicity.
"Both cocaine and fentanyl were identified in Crosby’s system."
This weekend, police made an arrest.
"50-year-old Dayon Dyson of Franklinton was identified as the source of the illicit drugs that contributed to Crosby’s death."
Cops booked Dyson for distribution of fentanyl and second-degree murder.
