The New Orleans Police Department is actively investigating a fatal shooting in St. Roch.
Authorities say it happened Monday evening.
According to an NOPD report, “At around 6:20 p.m., Fifth District officers were dispatched to the scene of an aggravated battery by shooting in the 1200 block of Franklin Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered two adult males suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. One victim was pronounced deceased on scene, and the second victim was transported to the hospital by EMS.”
