The Jefferson parish Sheriff's Office is investigating a murder-suicide in Harvey.
Sheriff's office spokesman Sgt. Brandon Veal says around midnight, deputies were sent to the 1600 block of Apache Drive to investigate gunshots. There, they found a man and woman had both been shot.
"The female victim was pronounced dead on the scene," said Veal. "The male was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries."
Investigators say it appears the man shot and killed the woman, then shot himself.
