The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a Flood Warning for northwestern Jefferson Parish in southeastern Louisiana and Orleans Parish in southeastern Louisiana.
The Flash Flood Warning is from 1 ppm to 4:15 pm Tuesday. The NWS says doppler radar indicated thunderstorms that are producing heavy rainstorms across the warning area. Up to two inches of rain have fallen in some areas prone to flooding. The potential for flash flooding is ongoing.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include; New Orleans, Harvey, Marrero, Metairie, Avondale, East New Orleans, Jefferson, Gretna, Harahan, Westwego, Arabi, Terrytown, Bridge City, Elmwood, River Ridge, Waggaman, Lakefront Airport, and New Orleans Armstrong Airport.
