Cops have given a man a prison uniform after finding him walking naked near a home in New Orleans where a man had been murdered.
"The NOPD has arrested Adam Belanouane (male, DOB: 11-06-1998) in the investigation of a homicide that occurred on August 3, 2023, in the 5900 block of Burgundy Street," according to a news release.
Belanouane was wearing only a white hard hat when police arrived in the Holy Cross neighborhood.
"At about 7:10 a.m. on August 3 NOPD Fifth District officers responded to an initial call of a shot person at the location. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male having sustained physical trauma. The victim was declared deceased on scene and the incident was classified as a homicide."
Officers detained Belanouane for questioning after seeing him near the house in the nude.
"Upon further investigation, detectives positively identified the subject – identified as Belanouane – as the perpetrator in this incident. Belanouane was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center on one count of second-degree murder."
