Saturday at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi will be rumbling and sky roaring with the noise of four rocket engines firing for upwards of eight minutes.
It’s the first time NASA will test fire all four of the engines at once.
These rockets will propel the Space Launch System to the Moon next year.
The test fire of the four RS-25 rockets, Saturday will generate upwards of 1.6-million pounds of thrust.
NASA officials say they expect the roar of the engines to be at least 10-20 decibels louder than the firing of a single rocket engine.
The event is scheduled to take place around 4pm and will be televised on NASA-TV and the NASA website.
