With festivals returning to New Orleans, a local favorite, the National Fried Chicken Festival also makes its return after taking a pandemic hiatus.
Festival organizers confirm that the popular outdoor festival featuring fried chicken from local and national restaurants will happen at its new home on the New Orleans lakefront on Oct. 1 and Oct. 2.
The new location on Lakeshore Drive will provide festival-goers waterfront views from Lakeshore Drive, Franklin Avenue, to the Seabrook Bridge.
The festival, now in its 5th year, will feature the Best Fried Chicken and Best Use of Chicken in Dish contests and of course live music and lots of fried chicken.
