The heavy rain we'll see throughout the afternoon could cause localized street flooding in parts of New Orleans. That's why city leaders are allowing neutral ground parking today (Monday, April 21).
According to a message issued by NOLAReady, the fear of flooding prompted city leaders to allow residents to park in the neutral ground until 8 p.m. Officials urge you not to block sidewalks, intersections, or streetcar tracks if you take advantage of neutral ground parking.
Officials also remind drivers not to pass through flooded areas.
