New details come out about what led to an 18-year-old man falling to his death at the abandoned Market Street Power Plant Friday evening.
As Nola.com reports, Anthony Clawson with three of his friends entered the decaying structure and climbed to the roof to watch the sunset. Once the sun set, they climbed back down. That is when they say a platform Clawson was on, broke and he fell five stories to the ground below. Clawson was taken to the hospital where he died Saturday from his injuries.
Clawson’s mother Valarie Walker says her son, a recent honors graduate from Benjamin Franklin High School was preparing to head to LSU where he wanted to study chemistry.
