The Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice says it arrested an educator at the Bridge City Center for Youth.
The now-former employee, 62-year-old Levelle Walker, is facing felony counts of cruelty to a juvenile and malfeasance in office, and one misdemeanor charge of simple battery.
According to OJJ, Walker placed a child in a chokehold earlier this week.
"After an internal investigation, video evidence confirmed that Mr. Walker secured his arms around the youth's neck," according to a statement from OJJ.
