Two major Powerball prizes won by lottery players in Louisiana remain unclaimed. Those prizes, lottery officials say, are set to expire in one month.
According to Louisiana Lottery officials, those Powerball prizes were won during the April 22 drawing. Both tickets matched four white balls and the red Powerball. One ticket, purchased at Magnolia Discount on Lapalco Boulevard in Gretna, is a basic $2 ticket and is worth $50,000. The other winning ticket, purchased at Prytania Mart on Prytania Street in New Orleans, has the power play feature and is worth $100,000.
The winning numbers for the April 22 drawing are as follows: 17, 36, 47, 63, 68, and Powerball 25.
If neither winner claims his/her prize before the October 19 deadline, the money will go into the Louisiana Lottery’s unclaimed prize fund.
The fund will then put the money back into the lottery’s games by way of increased payouts and promotions.
The winners may claim their prizes at one of the Louisiana Lottery regional offices or at its headquarters in Baton Rouge.
