Authorities say the water is safe to drink across the majority of New Orleans, after a water main break.
"The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans, in consultation with the Louisiana Department of Health, has cancelled the precautionary boil water advisory for majority of East Bank of New Orleans," NOLA Ready posted.
Officials issued the update Sunday.
"Bacteriological tests confirmed that water is safe to drink."
However, tests are still pending for part of Uptown.
"While testing has passed for the majority of the East Bank of New Orleans, some areas remain under boil water advisory. The limited parts of Uptown New Orleans that are still under boil water advisory includes:
4900 - 5000 block of Loyola Ave
2200 - 2500 block of Upperline St."
