Today marks New Orleans Mayor Helena Moreno's hundredth day in office.
Moreno began her term with a city on the verge of bankruptcy, and has managed to keep things afloat.
Political analyst Ron Faucheux says it has been impressive work.
"I think she's proven to be a serious mayor who is working very hard to solve the real problems of the city," said Faucheux.
Given the situation the city was in when Moreno took office in January, Faucheux said it would have been hard for her administration go anywhere but up.
"On the one hand, it's apolitical opportunity, because the bar was set very low, but on the other hand, the problems that you have to face are very deep," he said.
Faucheux says there are still no shortages of challenges for this administration, and the public will demand real results from it.
