As voters in New Orleans head to the polls tomorrow, the city’s mayoral race could be decided without a runoff depending on turnout.
Political analyst and pollster Bernie Pinsonat says the race largely comes down to whether Helena Moreno can secure enough votes to win outright.
He says the numbers point to a favorable path, but many factors remain at play.
“It’s a sliding scale. You won’t see massive crowds or long lines, but you’ll see a steady stream of determined voters.”
Pinsonat cautions against calling any race too early.
"You never know with margins so close, but Moreno would be heavily favored even in a runoff."
Polls open at 7 a.m. Tuesday and close at 8 p.m.
