The New Orleans Police Department says it recovered a body from Lake Pontchartrain Friday afternoon.
Police say passers-by reported seeing the body around 1 p.m.
There is no information about the person's identity.
The Orleans Coroner's office will perform an autopsy to determine cause and manner of death.
