Cops are looking for suspects in an early morning shooting.
"The NOPD is investigating an incident that occurred overnight in the 7500 block of Trapier Avenue," Senior Public Information Officer Aaron Looney said in an email. "A male victim was struck by gunfire."
He says initial reports show two gunmen opened fire on the adult male victim at the victim's residence.
"The victim heard a knock at the door and when he opened it, the suspects opened fire."
It happened around 1:20am.
"The victim was transported via EMS to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. The suspects fled the scene."
