Cops are looking for a killer after a brutal attack along Lakeshore Drive Monday night near the UNO New Orleans campus.
“The NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred in the 2000 Block of Lakeshore Drive,” Public Relations Specialist Karen Boudrie said in an email. “Officers were called to the address at about 8:59pm for an aggravated battery by cutting.”
She says that after the suspect stabbed the victim, the wounded man took off running. That’s when the attacker chased him down with his car.
“The victim, an adult male, reported being stabbed multiple times while sitting in his vehicle. He managed to escape from the vehicle, only to be struck by the vehicle driven by the suspect.”
Boudrie says the victim died just after midnight at the hospital.
“Homicide investigators are working to determine a motive and locate a suspect.”
