Another person was shot while riding in a car on a local expressway.
The incident happened on the I-10 Highrise Bridge around 12:30 Saturday morning.
Reportedly the gunfire came from an SUV as it passed the vehicle the victim was riding in.
The unidentified victim was taken to a hospital.
No other details from NOPD have been released.
The Times-Picayune/New Orleans Advocate states this is the latest in a series of 26-shootings in this year alone.
That’s the most in a decade, with the Highrise Bridge being a hotspot for the gunplay.
