The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans has a video showing people what they can do to protect water pipes before a freeze.
In addition to pipe wrap, the video instructs residents on the correct way to run water to avoid having it freeze up.
The video also explains what to do in case your plumbing does freeze, and your pipes burst.
