There's been a lot of discussion this week about Mayor Cantrell attending a climate leadership conference in Miami Beach, and WWL's Newell Normand had some questions... and comments.
"Mayor Cantrell forgot to bring back that knowledge set," Normand said drily, adding that she's cheating the public by using their money to attend conferences like this and returning empty handed.
Instead, she does seem to have expertise in screwing up grants, creating strategies to misallocate funds, and charting lack of progress while convincing taxpayers that everything is on course.
"She fooled us," Normand said.
She could also teach people about how timelines can be constantly delayed, having someone else to blame, keeping contractors in the dark, earning interest on other people's money, and not being held accountable.
