Nine people were hurt when gunshots rang out at a party in Thibodaux Sunday night. It happened at 9:30 in the 300 block of Hyland Drive.
The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office says seven people were hit by bullets, and two more were injured as the crowd fled from the scene. Victims range in age from 17 to 25.
No fatalities have been reported. All victims were taken to a local hospital.
Investigators located a handgun at the scene and recovered several shell casings.
