New Orleans firefighters battle a 3-alarm fire at a home in the 2000 block of St. Andrew Street in Central City.

A spokesperson for NOFD says the fire started about 4:31 a.m., because of the size of the camel-back style home a more fire crews were called to help battle the fire.

Firefighters managed to get the fire under control about 7:30 a.m.

The NOFD says 12 people were displaced but are safe and accounted for. One adult male reportedly suffered burns to his hand and arm. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

No firefighters were injured and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
