The boil water advisory for parts of New Orleans East has been lifted.
The Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans says testing showed no contamination after a water main break yesterday dropped water pressure below minimum safe levels.
The boil advisory was the second in a week for New Orleans East.
"Customers who have not used their water supply during this precautionary boil water advisory are advised to flush their internal and external plumbing by running water through their system for several minutes," the utility said. "We thank the impacted residents and businesses for their patience and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused."
