A man is dead and two others, including a pre-teen boy, are injured after a shooting in the Seventh Ward.
It happened around 1 p.m. Sunday on Joseph Guillaume Place near its intersection with North Rampart Street and St. Bernard Avenue.
EMTs found a 32-year-old man dead when they arrived on scene. Police say they also found an 11-year-old boy and a 64-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. The 64-year-old man is in critical condition. The 11-year-old is reportedly stable.
Police are still investigating the shooting. Part of that investigation, authorities say, is trying to find out if the man who died was the intended target.
