New Orleans Police announced Tuesday two arrests in a deadly exchange of gunfire on Bourbon Street over the weekend.

"We first identified Mekhi Jarius Andry," said Deputy chief Hans Ganthier. "He is identified as the initial shooter, the person who started this.  The second person, Dontrell Bradley, is also in custody. He returned fire."

Bradley was injured in the exchange and will be booked when released from the hospital. NOPD officers, Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office Deputies, and U.S. Marshals arrested Andry in Metairie on Tuesday morning.

Andry faces a second-degree murder charge. Bradley faces charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm and is also wanted on probation warrants in Texas.

The case is still under investigation.
