New Orleans Police are searching for a car stolen by an armed suspect.
The department is asking for the public’s help in tracking down a 2018 Kia Sportage, stolen at gunpoint Thursday night on Camp Street, just off Canal Street.
The armed perpetrator believed to have exited a dark colored sedan.
After reviewing security video, detectives observed the stolen vehicle closely following the pictured black Toyota Camry.
Both vehicles were fleeing lake bound on Canal Street and then in an unknown direction.
The stolen Kia Sportage has a California license plate: DVC662
The suspect vehicle is believed to be a 2014 Toyota Camry that was stolen on June 30, 2021.
It bears Louisiana license plate YMC104.
