The New Orleans Saints added 20 players over the weekend between the 2026 NFL draft, a trade and signings, and that meant some roster trimming had to be done.

The team announced Saturday that it had waived a pair of WRs in Samori Toure and Elijah Cooks, along with RB Evan Hull.

All three players were signed to the Saints practice squad midway through the 2025 season. Toure made his season debut in Week 18 and made one catch for 3 yards, which was initially ruled incomplete but overturned on a review challenge. Hull appeared in 6 games later in the year, carrying the ball 19 times for 48 yards and also hauling in 1 catch for 6 yards.

The Saints' rookie class included three WRs in Jordyn Tyson (1.8), Bryce Lance (4.136) and Barion Brown (6.190). They did not add any additional running backs or wide receivers in their UDFA haul, but one of the highlight free agent signings earlier this offseason was star RB Travis Etienne, who played his first four seasons with the Jaguars. The Saints RB room is already a bit crowded with Alvin Kamara, Devin Neal, Audric Estime and Kendre Miller all expected back for 2026.

The Saints also added a pair of edge rushers in Tyree Wilson (trade with Raiders) as well as former Patriots OLB Anfernee Jennings, though that signing is yet to be officially announced.
