Detectives with the New Orleans Police Department's Special Victims Unit have arrested a 31-year-old man on charges of indecent behavior with a juvenile.
Police say Victor Ilarraza was a dean of students who had been employed at several area schools. While the current case involves just one underage victim, police suspect there may be more.
"Investigators have determined that many of the victims were Hispanic female students with limited English proficiency, a factor that may have made them particularly vulnerable," police said. Callers to Crimestoppers do not have to leave their names and may be eligible for a cash reward.
