The New Orleans Police Department says a suspect in a violent attack on a woman last month, who slipped their custody, has now been arrested.
According to police, 40-year-old Renard Santiago cut a woman in her face with a box cutter after an argument.
Cops detained Santiago shortly after the June 6 incident, but he escaped while being treated at a hospital for injuries.
Police this morning learned that Santiago was at residence on Hayne Blvd. in Little Woods, and arrested him without incident.
Officers booked him on charges of aggravated battery, violation of protective orders, simple criminal damage to property, theft and simple escape.
