New Orleans Police have booked a man in the death of a 4-year-old late last night in New Orleans East.
Police say it was shortly before 10:30 p.m. Thursday when officers were notified about a shooting in the 6900 block of Lake Kenilworth Drive in the Seabrook neighborhood. A 4-year-old had been injured and taken to the hospital, where he died.
Investigators later determined the shooting actually happened around the corner in the 7000 block of Martin Drive.
Officers questioned an adult male subject on the scene, and later arrested him and booked him on one count of negligent homicide.
