New Orleans police are investigating a gruesome discovery made at a home along the banks of Bayou St. John: a body inside a bag in that home's backyard.
According to the NOPD's major offense log, officers were called to the home on Bancroft Street near Filmore Avenue just before 5 p.m. Sunday.
According to investigators, the resident discovered the bag and then found the body inside it. Police have classified the case as an "unclassified death."
