A child is dead after a car crash in Mid-City.
A New Orleans Police Department spokesperson says the crash happened around 2 p.m. Sunday on South Broad Street at Cleveland Avenue.
According to the spokesperson, the impact of the crash threw the child from the car in which the child was riding. An EMS crew took the child to a hospital, where the child later died.
Police did not say how old the child was or if the child was properly restrained.
The crash remains under investigation.
