Police in New Orleans had their hands full Sunday with three armed robberies across the city happening just 45 minutes apart from each other.
The first armed robbery happened at 3:08 p.m. in the 1900 block of Tchoupitoulas Street. Police say an armed suspect approached the victim and demanded her property. The victim complied and the suspect ran off with the victim’s belongings.
Five minutes later at about 3:13 p.m. another armed robbery happened. This time it happened at a clothing consignment store in the 5500 block of Magazine Street.
A suspect entered the store, produced a gun, and demanded money from clerk. After taking money from the register and money bag the suspect fled the scene according to the NOPD.
Then at about 3:53p.m., the third armed robbery happened in the 4300 block of Perlita Street.
Police say two armed suspects approached the victim and demanded the victim’s personal property. The victim complied and the suspects fled in victim’s vehicle.
Investigators did not say if the crimes were linked in some way.
