New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in the 2200 block of Deslonde Street.
Police say shortly after 2:10 p.m. Tuesday, officers were sent to investigate a call of a man injured in that location.
"The adult male victim was located in the street and suffering from a gunshot(s) wound," said police in a statement. "The victim was rendered aid by EMS, however he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene."
