Police in New Orleans work to find who is responsible for a shooting that left one adult male dead.
The fatal shooting happened in the 7000 block of Salem Drive Monday night.
“At around 9:54 p.m., Seventh District officers were dispatched to the scene of an aggravated battery by shooting,” said the NOPD. “Upon arrival, officers discovered one adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital by EMS, where he was pronounced dead.”
The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will determine the official cause of death and release the victim's name, once an autopsy is complete and notification of family.
