The NOPD is investigating a shooting in New Orleans East over the weekend.
It happened Sunday night in the 7000 block of Crowder Boulevard.
“A woman sustained a gunshot wound to her body. The victim was transported to a local hospital via private conveyance to be treated for her injuries,” said an initial police report.
The initial call to the police was made at 10:37 p.m. Sunday. This followed a weekend marred with shootings and carjackings across the city.
