New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in the 1300 block of Odeon Avenue, off General Meyer.
Police say shortly after 8:20 a.m. Friday, officers were sent to investigate a call of a man shot in that location.

"Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound," said police in a statement. "he victim was declared deceased at the scene."
