The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting in the Gentilly Terrace neighborhood.
Police say one man was shot and died at the intersection of Gentilly Boulevard and Elysian Fields Avenue. The New Orleans Police Department says the shooting happened Tuesday but did not say when the shooting occurred. Police did report the shooting around 11:20 pm.
The NOPD did not provide further detail as detectives are actively searching for evidence.
NOPD detectives and Orleans Levee District Police could be seen at the scene at the Petro Save gas station near the intersection where the man was killed.
