
New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in the 2600 block of Cambronne Street.
Police say shortly before 6 p.m. Saturday, officers were sent to investigate a call of a man shot in that location.
"Upon their arrival, found the victim shot lying in the street," said police in a statement. " Emergency medical technicians arrived on the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital where he died."
